We opted for a late lunch and were totally satisfied with the service, ambiance and (of course) the food. My filet was prepared exactly as requested and it was extremely tender and delicious. My wife’s salmon dish was equally satisfying. If you haven’t been to the Ruxton yet, you have to try it. The original cocktail was interesting and wonderfully flavorful. The other classic cocktail was expertly mixed and was like a visit from an old friend. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. What really made the night complete was the charming and helpful server, Grace. No matter how good food and drink is, a restaurant either succeeds or fails based on the quality of the service. Fortunately, this restaurant has staff as lovely and accommodating as Grace. It is also a great place for a special occasion, such as a birthday. The sesame encrusted feta cheese and the cheese puffs are our favorite appetizers. This last visit we tried the flatbreads - I had the crab which was sooooo good and had ample amounts of lump crab. My husband had the lamb and beef flatbread which was also very good. And, their pistachio baklava is a must for anyone wanting a sweet desert!!
