Our waiter Samuel took great care of us and the restaurant has numerous staff looking after you. Will definitely return and look forward to trying new items on the menu. Oysters a La soul and the gumbo so full of flavor and could have eaten a dz frog legs that came with the gumbo. Who would a thought!More infoAlligator SoulPrice: Very Expensive• Creole• Historic District - North•4.8
- HHannahNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoEverything was wonderful...from the appetizers, mains, wine and service. Our group had the whipped ricotta, beet salad and mussels for the appetizer. For mains, we have the seared duck breast, house made garganelli and the mustard crusted grouper. All fabulous! Highly recommend and we will be back.More infoLocal 11ten Food & WinePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Historic District - South•4.8
- TTheresaAtlanta •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIt was my first time in Savannah, and although a reservation for dinner on Valentine’s Day was unavailable, we were able to get one for the night before in early evening. When we found the table for two to be quite small, we were quickly and pleasantly moved to a table for four. Drinks were the Savannah Peach (smooth and not too strong). Our dinner included French onion soup, grouper, crab cakes, and sides. Dessert (excellent choices) was chocolate mousse cake and the Peach Trio. The entire meal was absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive, accommodating, informative and not at all intrusive. Over all, a wonderful experience for a special, romantic long weekend. Our only regret - we wanted to return for dinner on Saturday evening, but there were no tables available. - SSueNashville •11 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe enjoyed EVERYTHING at Common Restaurant! Our server, Bryan was terrific - friendly and very efficient. We liked every single item on the Chef's tasting menu. The first item was 'bread and butter' - which might sound uneventful but I wish I could have it every day. It was slightly grilled and totally terrific. Following were excellent choices: our favorite was the short rib ravioli. and we preferred the hazelnut dessert choice over the panna cotta. The price was actually a great value! The hostess and bartender were personable and professional (sorry, can't recall their names - we remembered that the bartender had a boyfriend in the service). We had a wonderful evening, and would gladly return!More infoCommon RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Regional American (Southern)• Historic District - North•4.7

Discover Statesboro
It's no secret that college towns often have some of the best hidden culinary treasures. With dives, delis, and diners galore, Statesboro is no exception. For an easy night out, hit up the downtown area for Italian fare, soul food, Mediterranean, or classic barbecue. If you're looking for a spot to catch up on some work, take a note from your fellow students by hitting up one of the multiple cafes or coffee shops for a specially prepared espresso drink or decadent sweet. But, when in coastal Georgia, it's the down-home Southern cooking that wins out. With fried chicken, okra, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and cobbler on the menu, you'll be glad that most places here operate with a "meat and three" state of mind.
