Discover Grand Island
Grand Island is a mid-sized Nebraska city with a busy downtown and an interesting food culture. The city has several quirky restaurants with specialized atmospheres. Try an ash-grilled steak in an Old West-inspired restaurant or burgers in a Vegas-themed bar, which was named one of Nebraska's strangest restaurants. If you want a surprise in the landlocked state, try a sushi bar that serves fresh fish that's flown in each day. There's also a brewing company that attracts a young, hip crowd. Grand Island also sports a diverse amount of ethnic restaurants, such as Thai and Mexican spots. If you have a sweet tooth, you can pop into the "chocolate bar" downtown for dessert or head to a mixology bar for an after dinner drink.
