- BBrookeLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe enjoyed everything from the moment we waked in to the moment we left. Our anniversary was acknowledged by the hostess, our server and a manager. They also sent out a sweet little dessert. Timing was very fluid. I was very impressed with the acoustics- the restaurant was totally packed but you can not hear another individual conversation and can still make out the music. Hard to achieve without seeing visible panels or an abundance of heavy drapery and rugs which there is not. Food was perfect.More infoParcPrice: Expensive• French• Rittenhouse Square•4.8

- OOliverPhiladelphia County •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoBarclay Prime never fails to provide an amazing dining experience. From the attentiveness of the wait staff, to the quality of the food it is an altogether incredible night out. Both filet's were cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing. Au gratin potatoes had a nice crispy top, with just a hint of nutmeg making them a perfect pairing to the filet. And the nice, quiet ambiance harkened to fine dining of the past. - TTristanPhiladelphia County •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat experience, great food! My dad has some food intolerances and they were so accommodating and attentive, it’s minor but was really wonderful they could accommodate. Made sure we knew what was in what dishes and it was super easy to order. Everything was fantastic and surprisingly large portions. Can’t wait to go again.More infoThe LovePrice: Expensive• American• Rittenhouse Square•4.8
- JJonathanPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI have been here a few times for lunch. Once again, it was great. My party was 2 people and we sat in a booth with a window on Market Street. The service was great.!! We ordered 4 apps and three entrees. The apps delivered first and the main meals about 30 min later which was perfect time to eat and catch up with my friend. The food was all served hot and tasted great. Overall, a great visit. 12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. It doesn’t have to be fancy. What makes an occasion special isn’t an arbitrary date on the calendar—it’s the decision to celebrate. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

Throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey, burger options abound, from pared-down smashburgers topped with a simple combo of lettuce, tomato and onion, to patties finished with bacon and eggs designed for brunch-time enjoyment. Discover Rittenhouse Square
Bordered by gleaming high-rises and featuring a well-manicured park, Rittenhouse Square sits in the midst of Philly cheesesteak territory, but you'll also find neighborhood restaurants offering custom shaved-beef creations alongside lighter vegetarian options. More formal Italian cuisine is also traditional in this section of town, and it's a nod to the immigrants who came over in the 18th and 19th centuries. Here, you’ll find everything from tagliatelle, gnocchetti and exotic raviolis to veal tenderloin and polenta. If you’re hungry for a snack and the weather’s cold, consider a warm soft pretzel from a street vendor. If it’s warm, opt for a classic Italian water ice or a gelato sampler.
