- HHarryvipPhiladelphia County •11 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoPerfection..BYOB Extraordinary cuisine.. Not the same old food and wine list that so many have. The oysters alone are worth the trip.. The sauces are refined and sophisticated. To say the fish is fresh is an understatement. I think they swim there. Desert is a must have. I do not usually give such ringing endorsements but i felt compelled. AND NOW they have COWBOY STEAK ..I hesitated but WOW OFF THE CHART DELICIOSO. Staff well versed and family friendly. - EEileenvipPhiladelphia County •72 reviews5.0Dined on 10 Nov 2024First time there. Ordered apps which weren’t great and the pizza wasn’t great . Not many options for pizza. One of the people in our party never got her dinner. Very hesitant to go back but the music was great and we might give it a second chance and not order apps.More infoLa Cena RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Italian• Bensalem•3.8
- AAllanvipPhiladelphia County •59 reviews5.0Dined on 10 Jun 2023This was...an adventure :) Took my wife as a 'surprise' dinner and we were ot disappointed! I guess one MUST love pickles 'casue you pretty much get pickles from the get go Gabi - our waitress was absolutely AMAZING and the food was beyond scrumptious We had "The Pickle Experience" which included 5 different pickles for an app, 3 Parmesan & 3 Crab spears, Fried Pickles, 6 boats (Florence, Buffalo Dilly, BBQ, Chicken-Bacon Ranch, Philly Cheeserteak & Taco) Wait - if that is not 'enough' there were Fried Oreos for dessert :) 2 non-alcoholic drinks each What a FEAST!!!! We'll definitely try to go back - the only setback is that its a bit of a haul from home.More infoGiovanni’s Dillicious PicklesPrice: Moderate• American• Bensalem•5

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. It doesn’t have to be fancy. What makes an occasion special isn’t an arbitrary date on the calendar—it’s the decision to celebrate. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

Grab a friend—plus a barstool—and explore this town by way of its best watering holes.
