Beautiful experience from the friendly hosts, to the delightful server, to the food all of which was perfectly delicious. We ordered the skillet cornbread, spinach dip, vegetable sandwich, goat cheese burger and fried chicken sandwich. Absolutely no complaints and they got us in and out in a little over an hour so we made it to our event right on time.

Everything about our dinner here was 5-star! The food was delicious, the wine choice was outstanding, the service was attentive and helpful, and the ambiance was great. If you're a wine drinker, this is a fabulous restaurant to go to with an extensive list of wines from around the world. They also had a decent choice of cocktails. Everything from the appetizers to the main dishes and dessert was also delicious!

We had a lovely waitress/server who came from Peru. She was awesome. Very helpful as this was our first time having Peruvian cuisine. She recommended the ceviche sampler. All were delicious. My husband had the chicken stew (Wonderful). I had the arroz con Marisco which was loaded with mussels, shrimp and squid. Both dishes were excellent. Then for dessert who tried the Suspiro. A lovely dulce de leche custard topped with meringue and a guava syrup. Lovely. Rich.

I love this restaurant and have been going since they opened many years prior to the pandemic. The pasta is prepared on the premises and the prices are reasonable. Great quality!

We like exploring tapas restaurants since we don’t have one near us at home. My only concern was not seeing any listing under the “chef’s selection “ pre fixe menu. We still ordered it and enjoyed most of it, but we didn’t know everything we were served and had no idea what was coming next.

Discover Foggy Bottom

This historic district's food scene is just as worthy of investigation as its reputation for the arts is. If you're not too busy taking in some culture at the Kennedy Center or checking out the Watergate complex, you should definitely check out some of the Mediterranean counter service restaurants and classic pad Thai spots. If you're around when the weather is nice, you might even prefer to grab something to go and hang out by the waterfront while you nosh. As you might expect from an area so steeped in history, there are plenty of comfort food locations that provide hearty American, Italian and Spanish fare. Many even offer farm-to-table options, classic tavern brews, and upscale dining settings that stand in refreshing contrast to the nearby National Mall and crowded memorial scene.
