As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    Was very busy so maybe this was why our waiter was not very attentive, water did not come until 15 minutes after he took our drink order. Food was not as great as when we ate two weeks ago at nobu downtown, husband's cod was not seared/broiled and tasteless (mine was great), my hot bento arrived 20 minutes after my husband...which was cold cause he waited for mine to come before eating his. We were disappointed and ask for the check without dessert but they did bring us a plate of free chocolates cause we were celebrating his bday.

    a very mediocre experience- a dark space and a very noicy one too. Sushi was mediocre at best.

    Good experience. Food was delicious, service was almost perfect, despite accidentally writing “Happy Birthday” instead of “Happy Anniversary”. The Nobu Experience was very much worth every penny. Drinks were indeed some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
