As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    Wow, what and experience! It was our first time eating at Nobu, and it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The food and service are unmatched. The restaurant was beautiful and we loved our server.

    If you have never dined at Nobu, the Omakase is a great introduction to the fabulous cuisine but be prepared to open your wallet. It’s quite a treat!

    Food was what you expect at Nobu however the ambience was poor compared to other locations and the staff just seemed disconnected, robotic and no ounce of effort in their service.

    Outstanding service. Ordered 2015 Moet. My glass was constantly freezing cold and constantly getting filled with me being in full conversation my glass was being re filled. Outstanding. Got the cod , was butter

    It was a great experience, went there for my wife's birthday, do not regret it. It is pricy but it is worth every cent. Food was Magnificent nothing bad to say.

    Food was all amazing except the wagyu which was sadly overcooked. Black miso cod was the highlight of the meal for sure. Would recommend if you are ok with the price!

    First time here and had high expectations based on reputation, but the service was below par. Was expecting our server to show us the way; however, he lacked interest, enthusiasm and frankly, skill as a culinary guide. Even upon continued asking of the menu and process, we were delivered robotic responses of no help. Server assistant, on the other hand, was friendly, helpful and on his game. Would not return based on this $600 failed experience.
