The hostess at the entrance was subpar in the way she talked with us. She didn't really seem to care. When we seated for a party of five, the table sizes were inadequate and one of our party had to sit in the aisle. Very little room to hold the plates on the table. The manager came by and was no help whatsoever. It's kind of a take or leave it place. For the money, the food was subpar at best. We will be looking for other choices on dining in the future when we visit Washington D.C.

Great atmosphere for breakfast. Our waiter, Russ, was fantastic. He made the visit enjoyable with his wit and humor. Very good food. Overall one of our favorite stops in DC. The breakfast sandwich was so good, my wife was still taking about it the next day.

We were excited to dine at Old Ebbitt. Yet, they seated us in overflow building lobby which was not the ambience of old Ebbitt at all. Disappointing to spend the same amount of money and sit in a big lobby.

Our waiter could not have been more gracious and charming, and he welcomed us with a patient review of the menu, and let us know we could take our time to choose our orders. The Irish coffee that I ordered right away was sensational!
