    Christmas Eve dinner at OEG is a 24-year tradition for my daughter and me. As always, the food was awesome. My daughter and I were quite surprised and disappointed by the lackluster greeting and overall experience when we walked in. The word "dismissive" comes to mind. Because our previous experiences were fabulous, I will look at this visit as a "one-off" one. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025!!!

    I expected it to be very busy on Christmas Eve & it was but it was fantastic! The mussels app was outstanding & the service was top notch. It’s such a great restaurant.

    Our waitress - Cynthia- was absolutely amazing. 10 stars for her. Great food as always. Great service. Great recommendations for dinner. Had the short rib stroganoff at her recommendation and it was one of the best dinners I've had there. Love coming here and will continue coming back.

    Once again, Old Ebbitt Grill was great! Even though crowded due to Xmas, they were super organized and handled reservations well. The food, steak frites, stead salad, and bowl were perfect and the brownie sundae couldn't have been better. Our server Alexa made it even more fun with her efficiency and adept handling of the many things going around us.

    super crowded on christmas week but glad we got a reservation in time. Our server was a delight (her name sounds like Naomi but wasn’t exactly that). The oysters were delcious. but The short rib stroganoff was the highlight of the meal!

    The holidays are a busy time to come here! Be mindful that breakfast is only offered until 11am on weekdays. The food was very good and service outstanding.
