Excellent food and friendly, attentive service are the hallmarks of this longstanding neighborhood standout. The fairly large, varied menu includes a good selection of appetizers, salads and soups, as well as pasta dishes, risotto, pizzas (including a luxurious Tartuffo with shaved fresh truffle) and full-blown Italian entrees like chicken piccata or milanesa, steaks and lamb. Additionally, there is a deep menu of daily specials, and so everyone should be able to build themselves an enjoyable and satisfying meal. The well-tended bar offers an excellent cocktail program, and their extensive wine list should please any oenophile. Desserts are equally creative, including bread pudding, panna cotta, a banana Nutella tart, and a weekends-only tiramisu, among a number of others. This is a stellar Italian restaurant with a friendly staff and a busy-but-comfortable vibe. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to visit soon.

As always, Panzanella provided a delicious, fresh meal with stellar ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The service, especially considering that this was NYE, was prompt and friendly.

Food and service were outstanding, as usual, but the tables were too close together. Overall, it was extremely noisy!! Prices for New Year's Eve were close to DOUBLE the usual price for some dishes. Panzanella's did NOT update their prices online, which resulted in a misleading in-restaurant experience. We are loyal customers of Panzanella's, but I am uncertain if I will return to celebrate New Year's Eve next year.

I’ve lived in Sherman Oaks for over 25 years and this was my first visit to Panzanella, as I was waiting for a special occasion. So my husband and I went there to celebrate our 9-year anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. EVERYTHING about our experience was EXCELLENT! This is certain to be our go-to restaurant for future celebrations!!
