- TTSouth Carolina •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI first dined at Tamarind in 2000 or 2001, pre 9/11. They were at a different location then--smaller but also wonderful. This time at the Tamarind I was delighted by the same levels of hospitality and care, and I was impressed by the excellent staff who waited on each table. The food is spectacular! Try as many of the dishes as you can. I went for the tasting menu. The scallops were simply outstanding, as was the cauliflower. The lemon rice with all the fixings, and the desserts--the kulfi was out of this world --made for a perfect meal. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!More infoTamarind - TribecaPrice: Expensive• Indian• TriBeCa•4.8

- JJohannaVIPAlabama •27 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy friend and I visited Bombay Bistro for dinner on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was lovely and the vibe was as NYC as you can get. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. We shared the chicken samosas - divine, crispy. For mains we shared the lamb chops - huge portion, some of the best I’ve ever had, incredible plate with curried potatoes, the best curry sauce accompaniment you can imagine and grilled veggies, we also shared the chicken biryani and the Rogan Josh lamb curry. Both dishes were ample and packed with taste. The chicken biryani was moist and filled with succulent chicken topped with a beautiful soft crust and the Rogan Josh lamb was super succulent, and an amazing hot curry. We really loved the atmosphere, the decor and the vibe. It does get a bit loud, but not too much to have a good conversation. We arrived at 7pm and left at 10:35pm. They never rushed us to leave even though it was a Friday night. We had 6 cocktails between the two of us and they were al AMAZING!! Sooo original and very generous. All in all I would say this is an absolute must visit. An iconic NYC restaurant in the Village. I would go there again and again. Bring your appetite the portions big!More infoBombay BistroPrice: Moderate• Indian• West Village•4.6
