It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon. We've only been to the Zuni a few times, but we were longing for their hamburgers and shoestring potatoes. As usual, they did not disappoint us. We ate them and had a sidecar as well, The sidecar was new to us, and very enjoyable. So was the Gateau Victoire -- a rich chocolate cake with whipped cream. We also had a port with dessert. All wonderful. There are many other things on the menu, which I'm sure are also wonderful. We'll go back to try them out.

Exceptional service, we adored our waitors! Food is divine - started with the zucchini fries and olive appetizer, shared the Prosciutto Parm and Rigatoni. Accompanied by their seasonal martini, I couldn’t have been more content.
