Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Turtle Creek / Oak Lawn

Best night EVER celebrating 🩷Valentine’s at The Mexican👏🏻👏🏻 Here were a few of my favorite things about this place:) This atmosphere was BUMPING!! 🥳 Fun, energetic and very well managed! Waitstaff all very kind and helpful, they appeared to really enjoy being here!! Aisha was our AMAZING waitress. Very attentive, absolutely beautiful and treated us like we were family! The shrimp and steak fajitas were so delicious, and the margaritas were OMG next level!! And last but so important to me-bathrooms were very clean! I’d give The Mexican 💯 See you again, soon!

Service was excellent, and staff was friendly but not overbearing. Waters were refilled regularly, and we were reminded that happy hour would be ending in 30 minutes, so we could be sure to order another drink. I had the salmon with whipped potatoes and lemon capers. It was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious! My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and said it was scrumptious! Fried to perfection! Our friends had the Reuben and steak sandwiches - both enjoyed their meal, but do note that the Reuben is a turkey Reuben - not my favorite way to make a Reuben, but apparently it was good. We even came back after we went to a play (go see Debbie Does Dallas if it’s still playing at Theatre Three) and had a night cap. The espresso martini was amazing, plus it was pretty! The noise level at dinner (5:30 dinner) wasn’t too high. We could easily converse with our friends. At the later hour, it was pretty noisy, but the vibe was still fun, and the service was top notch even with the larger crowd.

I’ve been to Uchibā more times than I can count and always have a good time. It’s the perfect combination of great food, chill vibe and warm service that doesn’t break the bank or require a special occasion to visit.

Outstanding experience- the service, the food, the ambience. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back, especially for the rigatoni w/vodka sauce. Delicious.

Way cool place in basement of Statler. Place was busy but bartenders and wait staff were working hard.
