Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Mt. Washington

Morcilla is my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh because the food is always delicious. I always have the octopus, which has never been disappointing. This time, I tried the gildas, which blended wild anchovies with olives. Really tasty. I had the beef tatar, which everyone In our group thought was one of the best they have had. Lynn's gin and tonic could turn a McDonald's hamburger into a gourmet meal. Like all restaurants these days, the sound level is on the high side, and the ambiance is more like a busy European bistro. The service is attentive, and the dishes come out as they are ready, so nothing has been sitting, waiting to be picked up.

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to dine before going to a show in the Cultural District. The service is excellent. They have an extensive wine list and they always offer seasonal cocktails that the bartenders come up with on their own. The appetizers and entrees are always phenomenal as well. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Always a delicious dinner. Nice seasonal menu entree changes. Meatloaf & Amish Pie dinners were excellent! The best bartenders and cocktails in Pittsburgh (we travel from 500+ miles away & always stop in when in town) old fashioned cocktail is my personal favorite. Keep it going! Bravo!

We ate at Otaru for the first time this evening, and I'm happy to say it was an incredible experience. I previewed the menu prior to our reservation, and it certainly did look daunting. However, our server Garrett and another server Angela made incredible recommendations and helped us create a memorable dinner. We opted for an appetizer of pork and shrimp buns and the portion size was great - in fact we could have split them. For our main course we were spoiled with delicious selections from both the Otaru Course and the Otaru Experience. I'm sure that we could have split one or the other, but having an individual portion of the amazing cold fish selections was great. We most definitely left with very, very full and happy bellies! We were celebrating my wifes birthday and had a great dining experience. Our server was engaging and added to the dining experience. All food orders were delicious and service was prompt. My wife enjoys celebrating her birthday at Bakersfield. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.
