We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish.     Dinner was wonderful as usual. Cassidy was our adorable and knowledgeable server that made it a fun night. Tried the Tuna Poke for the first time. Wow! What a hidden surprise. I guess it’s always been there, I just never saw it. The Halibut was outstanding. Dessert and Espresso just made it complete. Never disappoints!

    Excellent surprise. Lizzie was a super waiter and was sweet, knowledgeable and prompt. Johnny know his wines and livations and one of the best martinis I have had. Well thought out drinks and fun wine choices. A bit noisy inside-definitetly bistro- but fun. Outside is a treat with heaters and a great view of the canal. Food was excellent. All dishes weee good. Highly recommend!

    Always a special experience at Pappas Bros. Attentive bar tenders while enjoying drinks before dinner, an extensive wine list, a wide variety of appetizer choices, delicious dry aged steaks and enormous deserts. What makes it even better is the service form one of the best waiters around, Scott Kline. Be sure to ask for Scott when you dine at Pappas Bros. You won't be disappointed.
