Best Restaurants for People Watching in Hudson Heights

Delicious dinner at the Russian Tea Room! My husband had the sea bass and I had the scallops. The atmosphere is as romantic as it ever was. The prices are a bit high, but the food was wonderful and this is a special place. It’s a New York icon for a reason. On a side note, any negative reviews I’ve read were for tea. Despite the name, I don’t think this is really a tea place. Go for dinner, and you won’t be disappointed. All the dinner reviews were glowing.

Came here for the first time with my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Our waitress was very attentive even though it was a busy evening. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious (we ordered the salmon, steak frites, mac and cheese and mash potatoes). Only small complaint was that the mash potatoes was cold but the waitress addressed this issue easily and got us another one. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was very romantic. Our waitress even helped us take some pictures together. Overall wonderful experience and we will be going back for sure. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything was absolutely perfect, the food, drinks and service!

We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids and went for dinner after the NYBG Holiday Train Show. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed it and the ambiance and service was very good too. Highly recommend.
