Best Hot Spot Restaurants in San José del Cabo

What a hidden gem. Just a block from the San Jose Del Cabo mission and sign and right in the heart of historic SJDel Cabo is an amazing restaurant. It feels quaint and open with a kind staff there to look out for all your dining needs. They start by asking for allergies and told us about their Sunday Brunch music which was pleasant and not overwhelming at all. The atmosphere reminded me of a Southern California Bistro Mexican restaurant where you would have to wait hours to get in. The drinks were great and the Avocado Toast, Rojo Chiliquiles were fantastic. We also got the fruit and nut plate which has a great yogurt dipping sauce. We had plenty of food and drinks and our bill before tip was under $80. We are coming back in April with a group of 16 and we will be bringing them here for sure!

We totally enjoyed our dinner at Acre; it was a wonderful experience, enhanced by the excellent service from Victor, our waiter. We sat upstairs, and it was more quiet/serene than the bar and restaurant below. Favorites were the Cheddar Biscuits - order more than you think, Risotto with squash, and the fresh fish entree was outstanding. Don't pass on the beet salad - one of the best we ever had. Also, the Key Lime dessert is very different than expected, but a highlight. Only two issues: A loud obnoxious guest who arrived mid-way through our dinner, foul language. I did not complain to management, but he definitely was not polite or considerate of the staff, or nearby diners. One other issue - long wait for ladies' rest room (limited rest rooms) due to a very large wedding on site - management should consider more rest rooms closer to the event venue, if they are going to have a full restaurant (They did that night), and over 100 wedding guests.

Jazmins on Art Walk night was excellent. Thanks open Table! They saved us a prime table, out on the front porch overlooking the action on the festive street and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was great and reasonably priced!

Favorite place for artisan tacos in San José. Prices are fabulous! Only issue is too popular at times and difficult to book. Haha! Establishment size is medium-small, which likely attributes to booking, but is part of the charm.
