Best Date Night Restaurants in Hawthorne / Gardena

Went to Joey’s for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was an overall pleasurable experience. Our food was delicious! We ordered the Joey Classic Steak and both of our steaks were cooked perfectly! Not only that, but they were served fast which was amazing given that it was a Saturday night. I only had two complaints. First, I’m not sure if the champagne up front is complimentary. I’ve seen some reviews saying that it is. Regardless, we were not offered any. Second, (this isn’t for the restaurant staff) I’m not sure why some parents think that Joey is an appropriate place to take their kids. Some kids were well behaved, but others were jumping all over the booth and getting their hand prints on the divider glass. It’s not an enjoyable experience watching a child almost topple over the customers in the booth behind us. Not every restaurant is meant for children, specifically toddlers, and I feel like Joey is one of them.

Enjoyed the food and entertainment by the chef! So happy we made reservations for 1:00 pm on Valentine’s Day! I heard that corporate opened up the reservation line and had 1400 people reserved for that evening ! No way is everyone getting seated! I hope I don’t see Torrance Benihana on the news! There are going to be a lot of angry people!!

Staff was courteous and friendly. We seated right away.. The restaurant was a bit loud hard to hear our own conversations, but overall a great experience with good food.

Nice restaurant good ambience and good food very outstanding

It was really packed so our waitress, who was very kind and friendly, was as attentive as she could be. The noise level was high but not too high that we couldn’t hold a conversation. Checking in for my reservation was a little frustrating when I was told I was 5 minutes early for my reservation so I would have to wait b4 they could seat me. They sat me about 10 minutes later. I would have rather they said we are working on your table now.
