The couple who met in Rome 28 years ago discovered their shared passion for food and adventure and have since owned and operated restaurants in Aspen, Co, Winter Park, Fla and Saratoga Springs, NY. They fell in love with Hilton Head and decided to jump into this new exciting culinary adventure, hence the name Gusto, which means flavor and taste in Italian but also means a zest and enthusiasm for a delicious taste of life.     Our Absolute “Go To” restaurant on the island! Everything about Charlie’s is fantastic. The menu entrees are changed daily depending on availability of their fish options. We have had many of the appetizers but generally go back to their escargot. You will always have a great entree and the Pave’ Chocolat for dessert is a must try. Highly Recommended!!!

    Anita was our server and she was excellent! She gave great insight into the menu, her suggestions were spot on and she was very kind. We went Valentine’s weekend and all the ladies received a rose upon entering the restaurant. So sweet and truly set the ambiance. The food was well seasoned and served in a timely manner. Portion sizes are average even for the shared dishes but definitely fed us fine. There were no leftovers. Great date night! We will return and refer others!

    10 out of 10!! Started with perfectly crafted cocktails and the most cozy ambiance. The wedge salad was by far the best version we’ve ever had. Ordered the Tomahawk steak, cooked perfectly as requested, literally melted in your mouth. We’ve been to top steakhouses in NY city and Bowdie’s was right at the top with them! Coffee and dessert were also delicious and spot on. The service was impeccable, we are counting the days until we return!! Thank you Bowdie’s!!

    Our first visit. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Everything was perfect and Gena was attentive, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. COuldn’t ask for anything more. We will be back real soon. There are so many choices on the menus we want to try. Thank you.

    Ombra is my favorite Hilton Head restaurant for date night. I had the special ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce. It was cooked to perfection and delicious! Great food, great service, great ambiance. Probably not the best for kids, but I have brought them before….
