French Quarter Bistro was opened in 2018 in the heart of Frenchtown by Ed and Amoi Foerstel due to their love of all cuisine, Cajun. Creole is derived from the many cultures who have settled in New Orleans, including; French, Spanish, West African, Caribbean, German, Italian, and Irish. Cajun is derived from the French-speaking Acadians who settled in the bayous south of New Orleans. The influences of the French are the most prominent of both cuisines. Almost all of our Creole and Cajun dishes begin with a stock (poultry, beef, or seafood), trinity (onions, green bell peppers, celery), and a roux (blonde, brown, or dark), lending a unique flavor to our Gumbo and other dishes.     Went back here to dinner, twice on our vacation. One of the best dining experience I’ve ever had. I recommend getting anything from the chef special. The ceviche is one of my favorite highlights of meals. I cannot stress how amazing and elegant this restaurant is. I will recommend this to future friends and family who visit! Thank you Oceana for making my eating experience amazing on our trip.

    This was our 5th visit to Blue 11 over the past several years and each time has been memorable. Blue 11 is a foodie paradise. The tasting menu is awesome, each serving a delight. We had the 9 course tasting with the wine pairings providing the perfect compliment for each dish. It was a joy to see Jerry our server again this year. He was very attentive and knowledgeable.

    I sat at the bar where I could enjoy the amazing view and gentle trade-winds. The bartenders made me a couple craft cocktails that were outstanding! I ordered the prime rib and enjoyed every bite! Ended the night with a chocolate brûlée. Chef’s kiss.
