Best Date Night Restaurants in Humboldt Park

Amazing, authentic food with good service. We were in the back room and there was an excellent ambiance and decor. One of my fave restaurants!

Great service and ambiance. Took my sister here for her birthday dinner last night. I got an email earlier this week asking for the name of the person we were celebrating and what milestone birthday it was, which I appreciated and happily provided. Although the gesture was greatly appreciated, they didn’t provide anything specific so unsure what that info was needed for. Anyhow, upon arrival, our server acknowledged we were there for a special occasion which added a nice personalized touch. One minor thing is that we wished our food didn’t come out SO quickly lol but overall everything was fantastic. Service was great and we noticed how happy the staff all seemed to be working there. Will certainly be back!

Amazing with the reservation time I was 15 mins late and I still got my reservation. Our server was amazing he was frequently checking up on us. Our appetizer and our food came out quick it wasn’t a long wait at all. I order the lasagna it was so good, soft and the tomato sauce was so good it had a good amount. My girlfriend had the gnocchi’s and she loved them definitely one of her top favorites the only problem is if you don’t like truffle it can be a bit of a meh flavor but other than that they were great. We both had the sticky Parmesan potatoes they were so good as well. The ambience is amazing, the decorations for Christmas are very beautiful, the dim lighting makes it a bit more intimate. Definitely a good date night option.

Staff, food, ambiance… everything was perfect. We were lucky enough to get 2 seats at the counter overlooking the kitchen. The ballet was spectacular with all those chefs working together. We had an early reservation and when we left, we could see that it was a trendy place as lot of young preppy looking were coming in. I highly recommend 🥰

I cannot count the number of visits we've had to The Girl and the Goat, but it continues to be a favorite for both personal and professional dining. I brought three colleagues, who have never been, to the restaurant for dinner. One diner is vegetarian, but there are menu offerings and options available to provide them with enough to eat. All three were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen, which can be loud. However, we made due, and had an enjoyable meal. Service is always very good, and the cocktails are fun. If you're interested in dining, make sure you book way ahead, as there is almost no chance to get a table day of.
