Best Vegan Restaurants in Dartmouth

The manager went out of his way to make our family group of 8 comfortable. He had the loud music turned very low so we could have a conversation. The food was excellent! I had the best steak - 12 oz. prime sirloin perfectly cooked to medium with garlic mashed potatoes and side green salad. Others had wonderful crab cakes and miso glazed bass. At our request we had a table apart from others, but in general the tables are well spaced and the restaurant is spacious.

The waitress was more interested in chatting around the bar, seating at the high chairs or talking in the kitchen. She was not very attentive. The service was very slow and as we had other drinks she never cleaned the old glasses from the table. Besides that the restaurant was not busy at all. It looks like there was no manager on duty, or if there was one he was not doing his job also. About the food everything was great except the old bread that was served with the Mozambique mussels.

Happy to welcome Tavern in the Square to this neighborhood especially since there are not many sit down restaurants of quality in the area. Great service, comfortable seating and energetic lively staff, customers and music with a clean atmosphere albeit a little minimalist in decor in for my taste . Food was well prepared and presented as I have come to expect from this successful restaurant group, with very generous food portions. Looking forward to possibly seeing the exterior front area with the windows open up to the spacious sidewalk which is lined with tall fire torches utilized for seasonal outdoor dining . We split a full size Chopped Greek salad as a starter which was perfectly prepared and deliciously dressed in a zesty lemon tahini dressing with a hint of refreshing mint. We both chose the Blackened Bacon & Blue Burgers, medium done , his with a big portion of crispy fries and mine their very excellent Tots. Burgers were juicy, nicely seasoned and well constructed so they had the perfect quantity of toppings without being messy. Cocktails were beautifully blended and balanced. Looking forward to future visits!

Always a pleasure to travel an hour to get top service and quality food. Waitress Kylie was awesome, the servers with the meats, top notch, love seeing the owner walking around and checking on every table and hands on. This place is a gem!

Had an excellent dining experience this afternoon. Service was top notch and my food choice of Chicken Marsala was cooked to perfection with enough to take home for tomorrow’s lunch. Everything arrived fresh and promptly. My wine suggestion was super delicious and complicated my meal perfectly! Thank you.
