Best Vegan Restaurants in Clarington

The choices of appetizers and entrees was great. We arrived for our 815 dinner reservation. We were seated promptly and given menus. We’re were told there was a 90 minute limit on our table. Then it took about 10 minutes before we saw a waiter. Not totally their fault as it was extremely busy. We ordered drinks and another 19 minutes passed. Finally got to put in our order. All that waiting was worth it. The food was delivered hot. We had the stuffed mushroom caps and grilled shrimp. Followed by the sirloin and lobster entree. Dessert was a baileys cheesecake and strawberries. Ver all a wonderful first visit impression and a lovely valentines dinner

Gia serves amazing plant-based Italian food with great service. Our drinks, appetizers, and meals came out quickly, and everything was spot on. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a tasty and smooth dining experience.

I have been many times and the food is generally really good, that’s why we came to One Eyed Jack again. A few disappointments this time. The fish taco plate was disappointing. Three little taco with a small piece of fish down the middle. She asked for no onions. Apparently the cole slaw that comes with the tacos had onion in it. Not explained why no cole slaw. Should have been given an option. The plate looked pathetic. Eventually, she said she would take lettuce. That lettuce took at least 20 minutes to appear. Heaping mounds of chopped lettuce for one remaining taco. Not server’s fault. She kept checking for the lettuce in the kitchen. Onion rings with the crispy chicken sandwich were not hot. She also asked for more hot water for her tea which never came.

We had a large party (30 people) in the bar area. Our server, Emily, took great care of us and even kept track of where we all were despite moving around a lot. It was open mic night, so a little louder than usual but we picked that because the live music is great.
