It came with a 4 lane basement bowling alley that was a local hangout for decades.There was talk of a speakeasy during prohibition. The Biltmore was across the street from a regional rail stop and often hosted private events for dignitaries, politicians and celebrities.Much of original brick front and interior has remained the same over the many reincarnations of this legendary bar. The manager went out of his way to make our family group of 8 comfortable. He had the loud music turned very low so we could have a conversation. The food was excellent! I had the best steak - 12 oz. prime sirloin perfectly cooked to medium with garlic mashed potatoes and side green salad. Others had wonderful crab cakes and miso glazed bass. At our request we had a table apart from others, but in general the tables are well spaced and the restaurant is spacious.

Grill 23 has been here for decades, and they deserve to be. The wait staff is the best, food delicious and it is very comfortable. A neighborhood gem. One can tell that everybody is having a good time.
