Best Historic Restaurants in Plateau Mont-Royal

9e is an elegant yet relaxed restaurant, with excellent servers, very polite and respectful, and beautiful background music from several cultures and time periods. Our meals were simple yet perfectly prepared (an omelette for my friend, and beer-battered cod with greens for me). We celebrated with a glass of prosecco, and shared a wonderful dacquoise, a decadent chocolate cake with a praline outer layer, and rich cream to spoon on the top. A great treat for us both!

Joe Beef is a great restaurant and a must visit if you are in Montreal.

Servers lovely but service slow especially in bar waiting for drinks to be made, and in restaurant waiting on bill.
