- JJamesWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe French onion soup was absolutely incredible. I have been searching for a good French onion soup to rival that of a restaurant near my college campus in Philadelphia for over 30 years and finally found it. The fried chicken was amazing. It was actually better than fried chicken I’ve had in Asheville from a place that specializes in good fried chicken. The care and attention they give to preparing the food as rival only by the care and attention they give to guests. The staff, which is friendly knowledgeable and accommodating, is a big asset. The owner also cares greatly about his guests’ experiences. I will go back soon to try some of their other dishes.More infoShilling Canning CompanyPrice: Expensive• American• Navy Yard•4.5

We were so full, and didn’t want dessert but were intrigued by the guava and kefir sorbet, so he brought us a small taster.More infoBlue Duck TavernPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Foggy Bottom•4.5
