Best Japanese Restaurants in Denver

Honestly, everything was amazing from the service down to the drinks. The food that we ordered was immaculate. Everything was very well seasoned and fresh. And very enjoyable. If I could rate 10 stars, I would.

We enjoy Izakaya Den and understand that it has complex menu choices, which we consider a feature (not a bug). However, our waiter managed to make the menu more confusing rather than easier to navigate. We couldn't tell whether he was trying to "sell" us on items, provide information, or just hear himself talk! He got very far afield on the preparation of Tuna Collar and then discovered that he was describing a totally different dish. He also laid-on a thick layer of jargon, i.e "flavor profiles", etc. instead of speaking with clarity. The experience at Izakaya Den is already very good and didn't need to be embellished with BS. Fortunately, since one in our party has serious allium (onion/garlic) and gluten sensitivities, the order was placed correctly. We'll definitely will return again, and just hope we don't get the same waiter! Yeesh!

We went to Kona Grill to celebrate a Galentine's lunch! Everything was great, from the appetizers, to the entrees, to the dessert. The filet and seafood pasta did not disappoint! There was also a good selection of mocktails to enjoy. Our server was great too and I highly recommend enjoying a meal or happy hour here!

Matsu consistently has great food. The flavors are always original and everything is so fresh. The wait staff are all so knowledgeable, professional and helpful in picking perfect food.. in our party of 4, they really took care of our one gluten free diner to make sure each dish was modified and explained what they did. Thank you for another fun, delicious dinner.

Luke and support staff were terrific - very attentive and thorough. And the food was delicious, as always - the black cod was especially yummy - thanks!
