Best Chinese Restaurants in South Barrington

We loved the variety of foods offered on the menu yet still allows for a make-ypur-own option to personalize it. The food is delicious, served very hot, and plentiful. We both brought home our leftovers to enjoy another day. It is not a big restaurant, so reservations are recommended.

This is my go for Asian Fusion food. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and has many customizations that you can request. One thing we experienced was to ask for the beef dishes to be done medium, they come out not being chewy. Overall, this is a great place to go and enjoy a great meal. Can;t miss the Giant Wall of Chocolate cake. Its the best.

We very much enjoyed PL8 and plan to return. The food was very good, and the service was attentive. The vibe is fun and a bit eclectic. The owner engaged with us which was a nice touch. The one thing that would help is better descriptions of the ingredients and prep in each menu item so that guests have a better idea of what they’re ordering. My husband ordered a dish he frequently chooses at other Chinese restaurants, and the prep and ingredients at PL8 were much different than what he was expecting. The dish was good, but not what he’d had in mind.
