- DDoreenSydney •9 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAn authentic Japanese restaurant reflecting the many fine meals we enjoyed in that country. Inspiring food and great ingredients, freshly prepared and presented with flair. The Spanner Crab Chawanmushi was a stand out, as was the range of yakitori and the yuzu coconut icecream for dessert. All washed down with a sparkling lychee spritz!More infoChaco BarPrice: Expensive• Japanese (Yakitori / Poultry)• Potts Point•4.7
- AAlexanderMiami - Dade •1 review5.0Dined on 25 Feb 2025Izakaya Masuya is an absolute gem in the heart of Sydney’s CBD! We selected it for our last evening in Sydney, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our entire 3-week stay. From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. We started with the Salmon Sashimi and the Salmon & Avocado Salad—both were delicious! Next time, we’d probably skip the sashimi and just enjoy the generous portion of the salad, as it was quite large but absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had the Teriyaki Salmon and the Wagyu Tenderloin, which was hands down the best we’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant. The Wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the flavors were incredible. If we had dined here earlier during our stay, we would’ve definitely come back for a second visit. If you're in Sydney and craving amazing Japanese food, Izakaya Masuya is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!More infoIzakaya MasuyaPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Sydney CBD•4.1
