Please add this to the regular menu as it was outstanding. 2 of us had the lobster ravioli special and were blown away with how delicious it was. We both commented that they were far and away the best lobster raviolis we had ever had. The sauce was especially delicious and so different. My husband tried the steak special and loved that as well. The accompaniment vegetable which was a layered ‘something’ which he could not identify was apparently delicious. The last of us had the sole Milanese and this was also loved. As usual the staff was excellent as were the views of the water. Nonetheless the meal was great. The burrata caprese salad and beet salad wirh goat cheese over greens and 1/2 peaches was excellent. The lobster tail and filet special was great too. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. The ambience was really quite relaxing and beautiful. The illumination of all the candles against the windows overlooking the ocean was just divine. There were many wonderful choices for entrees on the menu, however, my husband and I each had the evening's dinner specials which were excellent. I had the pasta dinner special (linguine with lobster, shrimp and scallops in a light ginger cream sauce) and my husband had the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and haricot verts (french green beans).
