Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Avon / Avon Lake

We got drinks before dinner at the bar. I recommend The Red Stilleto. We ordered all appetizers instead of entrees. The large seafood tower was good. Shrimp cocktail, with large shrimp, raw oysters, raw tuna, Cajun scallops. Then we got the charcuterie board. Sopressetta, cheeses, olives, two dips, we got oysters Rockefeller, lump crab cakes and fried calamari. They have baby chibatta breads with butter. Our waiter was awesome. Shout out to Nicholas! Was an awesome date night. The piano was a nice addition to the ambiance. Low lighting, quiet, elegant. My husband wore black slacks and a cable knit sweater, I wore a sweater dress with boots. Loved it. Will be back.

I enjoyed my first visit to Rosewood grill. Made reservations for Valentines Day table was ready right away. Our server was amazing she gave great suggestions and was very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing the best steak I’ve had from a restaurant and the lobster risotto was delicious. I will definitely be coming back to have a great dinner experience.

Had a 6pm reservation, we got there about 10 mins early and were seated as soon as we walked in. Service was excellent! Never had to wait on a refill, she explained the menu and extras not on the menu. Food was delicious. A little pricey but with the options and quality well worth it. The pretzels they bring out as complimentary bread come with compound butters that were amazing. I despise mustard but the Dijon butter was wow!! Definitely worth the trip!!

Our second visit to the Cabin Club was for a late seating on Valentine's Day. The food, ambience, service, and staff were outstanding. As an ex waiter, I really appreciate the staff here. Everything moves in a relaxed, efficient manner balancing good attention to our table without being obnoxious, if you know what I mean. The menu here has enough variety of appetizers, seafood, pasta, soup, steaks, meats, and desserts to please just about anyone. Kudos to Chef and management! Add to that a well rounded selection of house cocktails, wine, and beer and you cannot help but have a terrific meal here. One last thing, and this is for the men reading this review: Gentlemen, is it too much to ask to throw on a blazer or suit jacket to take your wife or girlfriend out for a Valentine's Day dinner? When a restaurant website suggests Business Casual for attire, they are referring to what a man should wear. Dress up guys, your lady will love you all the more for it!

We had a triple date to celebrate Valentine's Day! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect!! The team members that greeted us were so friendly & welcoming!! For starters, we shared Oysters Rockefeller, Calamari & Shrimp Cocktail & each of the selections were absolutely delicious!! Our entrees included Filet Mignon, Delmonico Ribeye, Surf & Turf, Coleman Farms Chicken, Grilled Atlantic Salmon & New York Strip. The meals were perfectly prepared & everyone in our party raved about how delicious everything was. For salads, we had a variety including mixed greens, Cesar, beet, & titanic wedge which paired perfectly with our selections. My dry vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was decadent & there were a variety of wine by the glass being thoroughly enjoyed. To finish things off - each couple shared the key lime pie tart, & New York cheesecakes with espresso & Cappuccino. Our waiter, Mitchell was fantastic!! He was attentive, extremely knowledgeable & professional. Blue Pointe is lucky to have him as a member of the team!! We were absolutely thrilled with our entire evening & cannot wait to return!!
