Best Wine Bars in Royal Oak

Last evening my lovely wife and I celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary having a quiet dinner together at Capital Grille. It has become a tradition we look forward to each year. On arrival we were greeted warmly by our host and over the course of our evening we found the staff and service attentive, pleasant and genuine. We were seated at a corner table prepared with a hand written congratulatory note tastefully surrounded with rose petals. Over the course of our evening the ambience and meal was truly exceptional . And Chris had ensured a memorable evening with friendly and attentive service. (At one point he had discreetly placed a long stemmed rose by my side for my better half _ truly a very nice touch - thank you Chris). And recognize our appreciation to the entire staff. Last evening brought to mind something Mary said to me on our return flight from Europe celebrating our 40th _ “If I died today, I would die a happy woman. Thank you.” And thank you Capital Grille for this 47th memory.

Our waiter Taif did a fantastic job and was on top of everything. We never once had to ask for anything. Great job, Taif!!

Always good. The meal was delicious and the staff was great!

Everything was great up until the second guest couldn’t have an alcoholic beverage with no physical id. Although they had a picture id. A birthday was celebrated and I turned 37. Just for good cause why would I drink with anyone under 21, I’m a certified bartender. Kind of extreme. But overall the food was very tasteful. My steak plate wasn’t hot to touch which I loveeee my food hot but honestly I didn’t want to be the person in the restaurant who keeps complaining. The second attending waitress cheered us up. Loved her down. Also my bananas foster was delicious the next day. Great choice.
