Best Wine Bars in Cumberland

Great Food. All well prepared with great flavor. It was a very busy night, but the service was still attentive. Great vibe.

This is a favourite spot run by fantastic people and they deserve all of the success they have. Make a reservation if you don't want to be disappointed and turned away, it's popping most nights and lunches.

As always they are spectacular at everything they do. All the wine recommendations were spot on and the service impeccable. Our food was delicious and we all left stuffed. We continue to come back again and again. I am grateful they were able to meet all our food allergy needs.

My friend and I went to Soif for L'Outaouais Au Menu and had the set menu. We tried one of everything. The food was delicious, although the whelks seemed to be a bit overcooked and some of the vegetables were burnt rather than charred. The plates are quite small but well-balanced flavour-wise. We enjoyed the wine pairing and the cocktails. Because it was a) the weekend and b) the last weekend of L'Outaouais Au Menu, they were packed and we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. It took about 30 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted drinks, which was understandable because they were packed, but not ideal. This is certainly a great spot for a certain crowd and I'm happy we tried it!

Dining at Gitanes is always a delightful experience, beginning with a warm welcome at the door. The dishes are creative and delicious. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and thoughtful about accommodating any allergies. We enjoyed the Endive Salad and the Halibut Cheeks Piccata as tasty and generous starters which could easily be shared. Followed by the Thursday night special steak frites, adding the shaved black truffle on top which smelled and tasted delicious. The duck breast was very tasty and the addition of the Pommes Aligot was decadent. And although we didn’t think we had room for dessert, the pot au chocolate with madeleines was irresistible. Highly recommended for a night out.
