Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Winnetka

We had a party of 6, with most of us having a wonderful meal. We shared a delicious burrata for appetizers and profiteroles for dessert. I had the cod with mushrooms and spinach which was delicious. My husband enjoyed the shrimp scampi which was not really a classic scampi, as it was with a tomato based sauce, but it was very good. The salads had a bit too much dressing, so if you don't like that, be sure to ask for dressing on the side.

Our server was excellent. Always attentive to our needs and helpful with alerting me about my Lettuce Entertain You rewards that were pending.

We went there for my wife’s birthday. Service, drinks and entrées were great. I had the moussaka which was one of the best I’ve ever had and my wife had the Bronzino which she said it was very flavorful. I told them ahead of time it was my wife’s birthday. They brought us what they called a “cheesecake“ with a candle in it. I believe they call it some type of Greek cheesecake. I hate to say this but it was inedible. Not good at all. We wound up ordering gelato instead which was delicious. But I was surprised when they charged us $14 for the birthday cheesecake which was never communicated to me. Don’t get me wrong, this place is really really good. But I would avoid the “birthday cheesecake” and they should’ve communicated that they were charging us $14 for it.

The Hampton Social is consistently good and the service is always friendly and fast. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming and fun.

Wonderful manager who worked there room, checked in on dinners, helped to clear tables and bring various items to dinners such as condiments. Food was good-excellent menu options.
