Best British Restaurants in Bamburgh

Thoroughly enjoyed the cod with crab sauce. The bean & bacon broth was a bit salty for my taste but I suppose that's the bacon. My friend enjoyed her crab, which I've had before (though why crab has to come from Dorset when it's such a local delicacy we don't understand). I do miss the specials that used to be on the board - there was a new fish dish every time I came and all were excellent.

Food quality and service were very good. We were disappointed however, after ordering a bottle of still water we received a bottle of tap water which in which you could taste the chlorine. For this we were charged £3.50 + 10% which rather took the shine of the lunch experience.

Had fish and chips Saturday and Sunday roast Sunday, food very tasty and well presented, we sat out in the beer garden in the sunshine. Couldn't ask for anything more . Thank you!
