Best French Restaurants in Pudsey

First time visit and will certainly come back. Excellent service from the moment I walked through the door- lovely touches like tea in a proper teapot, food delivered to the table with style, helping me on with my coat as we were leaving and several members of staff thanking us for our visit. My son’s Chicken Schnitzel was wonderful ( his words), my fish and chips a little less so but still enjoyable. When I mentioned to the waiter that I hadn’t really enjoyed the fish, the Maitre d’ came straight to see us and apologised - there was no need it wasn’t a complaint. Do visit here it is a grown up restaurant rather than a bar that serves food and they genuinely want you to enjoy your visit.

Friendly welcome on our second visit to our new favourite bistro. Charming and knowledgeable explanation of the new dishes to us on the menu which felt a personal touch. Attentive and chatty service throughout the meal. Our varied choice of starters were all very good. Some big flavours accompanying the mains, especially the delicious duck. Portion sizes perfect for our healthy appetites. Overall another great experience for a small family celebration. Many thanks, hope to see you again soon.

Somehow in all of our time in Leeds we had never been to Kendells before despite lots of positivity from friends who had , we`d never quite made it. Well now we`ve been we will be going again , a really nice all round experience .... good food and a lot of smiles , from the other diners enjoying themselves to the attentive staff who seemed to enjoy working there and were comfortable with each other and us .... thank you .

Booked the table the night before, we were welcomed with courtesy, dealt with efficiently and pleasantly by all members of staff the food was well presented and tasted delicious for all three courses. We had the early bird menu, the house red wine was also excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant has always been great every time I have visited, out of other restaurants I visit in Leeds, this has to be my favourite.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was very welcoming with a warm glow from the lighting & the candles. A warm welcome from the Maitre De. Ordered a bottle of Primitivo from Puglia @£29. It was exactly the right temperature & it was delicious. The French onion soup was delicious, duck & venison dishes were also superb. The waitress was very friendly. A lovely evening. Definitely going back.
