Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Silver Lake

That was the best meal I’ve ever experienced. Every dish had layers of flavors that were so delightful. I don’t have a refined palate to know where all of the flavors were coming from, but each bite was savored and appreciated. We ordered the naan, green beans, beets, chick peas fritters, poke, bass, short ribs noodles, pork belly, sesame cookie ice cream and the sundae. For drinks we had the goat fashioned, espresso martini, spa day, bees knees, and some Cadillac’s. There were four of us and there wasn’t a morsel left on any plate. The service was very friendly, attentive, comfortable and informative. The ONLY thing I would do different is make sure to get the naan first to scrape up every last bit of every sauce. If I could’ve gotten away with it I would have licked each plate clean ;) I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time and tonight did not disappoint. I loved watching Chef Stephanie on Top Chef but have never had the chance to taste her food. And until tonight I’d never realized how truly elevated and special her dishes are. I had a great time at Irie Restaurant & Lounge, West Hollywood’s gem of a cannabis café! The service was attentive, and the food was delicious, with plenty of plant-based options to choose from. That said, it would be even better with a bit more effort in offering a plant-based protein—just a little tweak to make the menu even more inclusive. The cannabis offerings were absolutely superb—great quality and variety. The dual-server system (one for food and drink, and another for cannabis) makes regulatory sense, but it can feel a bit confusing for first-time visitors trying to navigate all their options. Streamlining that process could elevate the overall experience from great to phenomenal. That said, Irie’s vibe, service, and offerings have already won me over. I plan to make regular visits! Highly recommend this wonderful spot for a unique and enjoyable dining and cannabis experience.

Worth a visit for breakfast whether you're shopping the LA Flower Mart or not! I changed up and went with the shrimp n grits. The grits were better than most in town and the dish was flavor-packed! I could go for more grits in the serving though. My date had the crab benedict which she loved, with the exception of the biscuit. I had to agree, it was a little too dense. You can't miss with the chicken and waffles here. I also tried the Rose Mojito for the first time and the second time, lol! Really good, so be careful!

This place is a delight! I’m very sad they’re about to stop dinner services. Stop wasting money at other inferior places and spend it here so they’ll bring dinner back! But all their food is great all the time, especially the biscuits. The staff are uniformly lovely and efficient. I feel so lucky that this is a neighborhood spot for me.
