- MMarcellusWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoUmi delivers an outstanding sushi dining experience, combining top-tier service, a stylish ambiance, and high-quality cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the sleek yet inviting decor sets the tone for an elegant meal. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—sophisticated but not pretentious, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual nights out. The service at Umi is impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, offering knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. From the moment we were seated, everything felt seamless, from drink refills to perfectly timed dish arrivals. As for the food, every bite reflected freshness and precision. The sushi was expertly crafted, with high-quality fish that practically melted in your mouth. Signature rolls offered a creative twist without overpowering the delicate flavors of the ingredients. The hot dishes were equally impressive, with standout items like the miso-glazed black cod and tempura that was light and crisp. Pricing is on par with similar high-end sushi spots, making it a great value given the quality of food and overall experience. Umi proves that you don’t have to compromise when it comes to great sushi, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended!More infoUMIPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Buckhead•4.7
- BBeauAlabama •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoSo, I had a unintentional extended delay for a flight, so I spent Valentine’s Day by myself in a hotel, decided to go out for dinner at Thrive, sat at the bar, was greeted by the lovely staff, who actually spoke to you, not treating it like an assembly line. My bartender walked me through the menu, giving personal recommendation's for food and drinks. I had an Amazing 5 Course Pre-Fixed Valentine’s Meal. The General Manager came by, greeted me, and I had an amazing conversation with her, I was not in a good mood, and she completely changed that, actually listening to me, treating me as a person, rather than just a customer, which is what every restaurant should be like. My food was absolutely delicious, loved every bit, and the manager made sure that I was serviced the same as any Valentine’s Couple, I did not feel like a stick out at all. The drinks were amazing as well, the bartender recommended a Vodka and Lychee drink, which was amazing, and the perfect ratio (in my opinion) of alcohol to mix. If I lived in Atlanta, I would be here nightly, they have such a variety in their menu. I can promise them I will definitely be returning, I felt like a friend to everyone inside rather than the guy who was eating by himself on Valentine’s Day. When I was leaving, my bill was $110, I did drink a couple drinks and had a Pre-Fix, so I was completely okay with this and felt it had adequate value. This is a great spot for dinner or just a drink, I absolutely loved it, cannot say it enough! The bartenders and GM wished me well and safe travels the next day as I reach my actual destination! 10000/10 Will be back!More infoThrivePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.4

- MMorganAtlanta •2 reviews5.0Dined on 2 Feb 2025Thank you to One Flew South for making last night one-of-a-kind for us. My husband and I had what will probably be our last date night for a while, as our first baby is due in just a few days. My husband’s birthday is Feb 14th (and Valentine’s Day), so we had a triple celebration. The food was phenomenal, some things we’ve never seen anywhere else — we had the bourbon glazed turkey wing, trout croquettes with chorizo aioli, the dragon roll, the beet salad, and the lamb ribs. We also had mocktail versions of the Sweet Georgia Brown. The service was fantastic — our waitress and the manager, Nash, were kind, checked in often, and made the experience all the more better. So glad we chose One Flew South for our last hoorah before baby. 10/10 recommend. Thanks, once again!More infoOne Flew South - BeltlinePrice: Moderate• Regional American (Contemporary Southern)• Inman Park•4.1
