The former co-owners of Vite Vinosteria in Astoria, Queens, who had moved from the city to Centerport, spent the summer renovating the dining room to a modern, clean look with neutral tones and contemporary artwork from Pietro Molendini's native Rome. They also expanded the bar from about four to 11 seats.Pietro Molendini has spent 30 years in the food industry, with a decade of that at Cipriani and stints at both Bar Pitti and Da Silvano. Along the way, he met chef Fabian Garcia Manca, who eventually headed the kitchen at Vito Vinosteria and now joins the Molendini’s in St. James.     Food was fantastic & extremely prompt, despite being so busy! Service even more so. Our server was Andrew. He was absolutely impressive to the point, we had to put in a good word to the Manager. Just when I could not be anymore impressed, Manager Rubins handed me his card & told us the next time we come to make sure we send him a text to make sure we get taken care of. WOW! What an amazing dining experience. 5 Stars to the max. Can’t wait to go back.

    We visited on Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was completely booked. The hostess was very pleasant, the manager was very personable and our server was incredible. The Valentine’s dinner menu had so many options. Our meal came out promptly and everything was delicious!!!

    I’m such a fan, food is consistently great. Started with seafood salad, delicious!! My wife had the pollo Nonna, she absolutely loved it. She also got the garlic and oil spaghetti. as good as any around. My Bronzino was fantastic, all washed down with a beautiful glass of Baby Amarone makes the dinner complete. But, I still had to have the Panna Cotta and we are a happy couple. Special thanks to our waitress Anna, always a joy. If never been to Ragazzi give it shot, I think you will be pleased. I highly recommend.

    Service was excellent. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the meal. Even though the price was high the food was well worth the bill. From appetizers through to the dessert and the variety of atypical wines everything was paired to perfection. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience a truly upscale and diverse Italian cuisine.
