Best Italian Restaurants in Redwood City

I have now been at pizzeria Cardamomo twice. We like all the dishes that we tried; The local pair bruschetta. The marinated Taggiasca olives. I heard they were great. Organic beet salad. Then finally the Stracciatella pizza. Bottom line is that the pizza is made with love and passion and it shows in the taste, flavor and texture of the pizza. Our service and food was very good and people were quite nice and it was nice to meet the owner. To beer fans out there try the Italian beer Mastri Birrai Umbria. Very good if you like Italian Pils.

Fantastic hot focaccia bread with a marinara dipping sauce. Side dish of kubacha squash was quite good and healthy too! Gnocchi with truffles is melt in your mouth delicious. Fun cocktails. Service was attentive and discreet.

Most of the food we had was very good: burrata, brussels sprouts, pizza, and pork chop were all very good. Salmon was cooked well but tasted a bit fishy. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambience was lacking as outdoor seating is next to parking lot of industrial buildings; vibe is probably better when there are more diners.

This place is amazing! The hostess, Delaney, is what made our night. I’m currently disabled and she went out of her way to accommodate my needs from the very beginning all the way until the end of our dinner. I had to use the restroom and she personally walked me all the way back to the restroom and held the door for me! The food was incredible, our server was extremely attentive, and the food came out fast. I’ll definitely come back. Thanks Delaney! We will definitely come back :)
