Lovely table. Fish soup and kidneys very nice - fish soup could have been a little thinner and kidneys a little more tender. Main course Sole and lamb both very nice. Lamb dish served a bit cold but quickly resolved with a salamander heat up. An unexpected glass of wine given with No1’s apologies. Appreciated. Fabulous crème brûlée! Lovely ambience and service. We had a lovely Afternoon Tea at the Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant. Just the right amount of food and a great view. We thought the tea was good value for money.

Excellent experience as ever at this lovely restaurant. Busy and lively atmosphere as we were greeted on arrival and offered good choice of tables. Prompt, friendly and helpful service throughout. My grilled octopus starter was exceptionally good and our main fish dishes - monkfish and the daily halibut special - were both delicious. Not cheap but good value. Definitely worth a visit.

Good tasty roast beef but served warm not hot on a cold plate. Ambience of the Crown is bare boards.
