Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread. There are a dozen types of pancakes, decadent waffles and French Toast offered. The restaurant also features a full page of plant-based options. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Nice experience. Ambiance was very nice. I felt the tea sandwiches could be much better. You could tell they were made in advance. Very small amount of food for the $90. But I’m Glad I tried it. 👍🏼👍🏼 Fyi Wait until after thanksgiving if you want to experience the Christmas theme!

The restaurant has a limited menu but still offers a range of choices. I had the mussels and my friend had the hamburger. Both were quite good. The chocolate/orange mousse we shared for dessert was excellent. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass, which I appreciated. The place is within easy walking distance of the National Theater, and we ate there before the show -- a perfect spot to do so.

The best tea experience in Washington, DC! Service very friendly and top notch. I went for a friend’s birthday and we were greeted with celebratory champagne as soon as we were seated. Willard’s Tea Room expands tea seating just off Peacock Alley. We could still hear the piano and singer.
