Established in 1993, King’s Fish House is Long Beach’s choice for seafood. Located at the corner of E. Broadway and Pine Ave., King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily. We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.Welcome to the House that Seafood Built.Come gather with us, celebrate, relax and enjoy a seafood dining experience of high quality, comfort, service and value.

We are dedicated to delivering delicious and healthy culinary experiences to you. We crafted a menu of exceptional food. Our menu development team and our executive chef have trained, worked, and immersed themselves in Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument restaurant, where The Backyard was born in 2020. We embrace traditional cooking concepts and methods, integrating with modern kitchen equipment, cutting-edge tools, and scientific industrial expertise. We tailor our approach to align with local preferences. Our executive chef and front leader have dedicated over two decades to serving this community. In August 2022, The Backyard found its home here. In November 2023, we introduced lalc Restaurant & Bar (The Backyard) to reflect our Los Angeles origins and local approaches. We select ingredients that are organic, all-natural, and non-GMO, no added hormones, and no antibiotics. We source locally, opting to fresh and house made options. We utilize as few ingredients as possible.

Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel. “There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister,” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different. LSXO offers straight-up, honest, home-style Vietnamese cuisine—the type of food I grew up eating with my grandparents in the San Gabriel Valley

The food was incredible. The 3 way mezze option was delicious. But the star of the show was the ribeye & chicken skewers. Both were super tender and juicy. I can not wait to go back again. Kuddos to the chef and her family’s recipe.

The waiter was very professional and well versed and experienced. The Halibut was a little dry but the 3 other meals were perfect. The seafood pasta was light in sauce and not overwhelming like other places. Just right and not too creamy. Salads were amazing Pricing was a little high mostly due to high alcohol costs. for example, the Rombauer should NOT be $40 a glass when you can buy a bottle of it at the store for that. We had 3 drinks and 4 cmplete meals without appetizers for $519. You can compare from there.
