Best Date Night Restaurants in Anna Maria

The wine was well recommended. My drink was generously poured and very good. The food was ok-ish, except the lamb lollipops were awesome. The lobster risotto, mushroom ravioli, and spare ribs were not served hot enough and mostly over or undercooked but the faro was quite tasty. The service was ok-ish when she remembered us. I might have tried the donuts for dessert but by the time she came back around I was feeling full and just got coffee. My friend got the cheesecake which she was happy with but I thought it was only ok-ish. I had to ask for my credit card back but I’m sure that was just an oversight by an overworked server.

We’d given up on all the Chiles-owned restaurants on the island. Too expensive for what you get, no reservations, mediocre service with a “take-it or leave-it” attitude. Three hour wait at the Sandbar? This year, hearing they’d been sold we tried again. Went to MarVista first. It was fine! Beach House is near our place, so we tried it. Fun lunch. Very good lobster roll. Seated under the covered patio near the beautiful ocean. Great server. Manager types checked on us twice. Happy to report: GO!

Our dinner was very good. Their menu isn’t extensive but the dishes are expertly prepared. Our server was good but overwhelmed with many tables. Service was slower than we’ve experienced there in the past. Overall a very good experience.

Outstanding wine choice. Great recommendation from the staff. We had a very nice moment, the atmosphere was chill and the food was really good.

We always start and end our Anna Maria Island vacation, when we stay at Sunshine Cottage, with the Waterfront. Truly exceptional!
