Best Brunch Restaurants in River Oaks

Best experience yet. The restaurant was buzzing with groups of people celebrating different occasions. Felt like a party. The Chicken parm was rated lifetime number one from a chicken parm connoseir. My whole family loves it here.

The ambiance is energetic, the food value is there in portion size, and the flavors are on point. It's not the place for a quiet, romantic meal, and the vibe definitely caters to a younger crowd but no complaints. It was very crowded (Valentine's Day), and a group of 5 waiting for a table decided to stand so close to our table that they might as well have joined us. I asked the server if she could perhaps ask them, politely, to move closer to the bar. She graciously asked a manager who came by a few minutes later and asked if they could clear the area for the servers. They moved away--the staff handled the matter deftly and we were quite pleased (Thank you!!). We'd certainly dine here again when visiting Ft Lauderdale (or elsewhere they're located).

The view, food and vibe at the House on the River was great. Our server Macarena and the hostess Pilar were very polite, professional and attentive on our visit on Valentine's day. 10 out of 10 service. We will be coming back.

We visited for Valentines day and had a pleasant experience. The view is mostly of docked boats with a limited view of the water. The restaurant is upscale casual. Not really a fine dining establishment. The food was delicious. The service was good to very good but not amazing. I'd probably return for happy hour or a casual dinner. Smart casual dress is sufficient. Even shorts or jeans and a polo wouldn't be out of place.

Food and service were both wonderful. Our server made great recommendations and also was honest about things that were not his favorite which I always really appreciate.
