At the Island Way Grill, we're all about fresh fish. Our own boats make daily trips to the middle grounds to bring back fresh tuna, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it's any fresher, it is still in the gulf. Most of our cooking revolves around our oak and citrus fired open pit, which sears at an extremely high temperature and adds a delicious smokiness to everything grilled. You'll find an abundance of fresh herbs and only the best quality seasonings. Fresh vegetables are used throughout our menu, and all soups and sauces are hand-prepared.     We went to celebrate a special occasion in our family. We chose to see the flamenco dance show which was excellent. Our waiter was exceptional. He offered suggestions about meal choices and wine choices an was spot on with both. Take time to read the menu with its history and traditions. Such a memorable dining experience for our family.

    Our server Nick S. was great. The food was great. I had a NY strip and my wife had the flatbread. When they did not have the ice wine , we got comped some 20 yr. port and my Glenlivet. Had the creme brulee for dessert and it was excellent. Our second time there and will be back, hopefully we will have Nick as our server again.

    I can’t believe we’ve lived in Tampa and haven’t been to timpano until last night. What a great restaurant! Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great and everything is at a price point that won’t kill your wallet.

    Never experienced service so superb. One would expect a nice steakhouse to have good service but this was on another level. Staff was everywhere and constantly checking in. Steaks were amazing. My wife had the crab legs and they were spectacular as well. Loved the raw oysters as an appetizer and the corn and gnocchi sides were great.

    We went for my mom’s 80th birthday. The service was amazing! They had birthday confetti on the table, provide a special cocktail for my mom and even comped her dessert. It was a beautiful, memorable dinner, we will return soon! Thank you, Ocean Prime ❤️
