- MMaryCornwall •4 reviews5.0Dined todayThis was our second recent visit to TOF and we would highly recommend it. On both occasions we had lunch and found the food to be excellent and well presented. The staff were also very welcoming and attentive. We hope to visit on a regular basis from now on.More infoThe Old Forge LelantPrice: Moderate• Continental• Hayle•4.8
- CChrisDevon •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoJust wow. What a venue and what a meal. My wife and I went for a Sunday roast and firstly were blown away by the ambience of the venue. After entering, the staff member who greeted us noted that we would require a change in seating due to mobility and swiftly made the change without any fuss or making us feel like a problem. From the minute we were shown to our table, the staff were friendly but so professional and were there when needed, but never hovering. The food was on another level but not at all over priced. The whole feeling of the meal was more than we had expected and we can't wait to come back again. What a special meal, place, and staff.More infoThe Tartan Fox by Adam HandlingPrice: Expensive• British• Newquay•4.8
- JJacquieVIPLondon •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis cafe is turning out phenomenal dishes that truly celebrate the ingredients - even the chips - which are heavenly earthy, piping hot and flavourful. I started with roast sardines with a smattering of finely chopped garlic and I was wondering if the garlic might overpower the natural tangyness of these flawless fish. Not a bit! The balance was perfect and the flavours just sang in the mouth. I loved the starter choices so much that I ordered another for my main which I had with the heavenly chips. Blue cheese and pears with Parma ham. Incredible! Just the right amount of each ingredient. Yes! I scraped the plate. Finally, I finished with apple crumble tart with clotted cream. The pleasantly acidic pool of berries calmed the natural, perfectly pitched sweetness of the apple tart. I would have preferred a small jug of custard but hey, we’re in Cornwall so the clotted cream sat beautifully on top and gave the dish a velvety texture. Staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I had a large bottle of fizzy water and my bill was around £40. The price reflects the quality of ingredients which were top notch.More infoPorthgwidden Beach CaféPrice: Expensive• Fish• St Ives•4.6
