Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. Food was faultless and our server was very attentive but someone needs to tell the kitchen that 45 mins for our first course (mains) is too long at lunchtime. (We were there on a Tuesday) Definitely going back for the incredible white chocolate cheesecake, which is to die for!

The host was friendly and welcoming. We were uni friends meeting after a while and were given time and space to catch up over good food and drink. Complementary chocolates at the end were a lovely touch.
