Enjoy exceptional cuisine with an emphasis on cutting-edge British cuisine, prepared with the highest quality of fresh ingredients. This is fine dining but in a warm and friendly atmosphere, free of unnecessary formality. The dishes you find on the menu are also influenced by Beatrice Tollman, President and Founder of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection who has a particular passion for food. As you step in from the bustling city streets of Kensington you will be struck by the fine traditional décor, rich mahogany furniture, warm wood panelling and the abundance of natural daylight pouring in from the Victorian leaded windows. Enter a world of calm sophistication and sumptuous luxury in our dining room, a room full of character, reflecting the distinctive period architecture of the building. The circular Oratory, with its ornate vaulted ceiling and wood panelling, is perfect for private dining. Afternoon Tea is served in the Park Lounge - available to book on Opentable.

Having spent years supplying London’s top restaurants through their separate wine businesses, Joe Haynes and Benedict Butterworth have joined forces with Tom Hurst, who has worked at Brawn, The Marksman, Levan, and most recently as Head Chef at Lasdun, to launch the trio’s first restaurant together.Located in a Grade II listed building on Cloth Fair, Cloth Restaurant is part of a historic row of buildings in the City of London that survived the Great Fire of 1666. Down this atmospheric alley opposite St Bartholomew church, Cloth is taking over a double fronted corner site that’s beneath the former home of poet John Betjeman and next door to the two oldest residential buildings in London. Inside, low ceilings, wood floorboards with antique wall lights and artwork create a cosy, intimate atmosphere, while marble tables, long dark wood banquettes, antique crockery and cutlery will create the feel of a classic bistro.

We had a superb meal - to be candid this a restaurant rather than a gastropub. My starter of clam chowder showed the skill of the chef: no flour, hit of sweetcorn, tasty fish which wasn't over cooked and a real depth of creamy flavour. Beautifully presented. Best clam chowder I've ever had (and I have been to Boston). My main of chicken breast that was broiled and finished on et char grill was equally exceptional. Great flavour and served a bed of roasted new potatoes and green veg with a sauce and a gravy, all beautifully presented (again). The ambience is great: lively but not noisy, a definite local and handy for the theatre, all set off by crisp white linen and sparkling cutlery and glassware. Thank you very much - we won't be looking any further next time we are in Richmond!

Excellent menu and meals in a good atmosphere. Good selection of beers, as always, but our server was clearly new and didn’t know anything about what was available… we knew the regular ales and plumped for that.
